Hydromax USA is working with PUGET SOUND ENERGY to inspect sewer lines that are installed close to gas pipes to verify there are no conflicts between the underground gas and sewer facilities. The goal is to avoid cross bore situations where an underground utility line is unknowingly installed through an unmarked sewer or septic line.
We initially attempted to verify your address from the sewer main but were unable to inspect your sewer line due to access issues. To confirm there is no cross bore conflict at your location, we need to use an access point on your property to complete the inspection. Please use the calendar link below to schedule your appointment.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Hydromax USA employees will inspect your sewer line by inserting a camera into the line through the clean-out access in your yard, a roof vent, or an interior clean-out location. This inspection will not cause significant disruption to your home or property and should not take more than an hour. You can identify Hydromax employees by their identification badges which include names, photos, and ID numbers.
MORE ABOUT CROSS BORES:
Cross bores do not always pose an immediate threat and can remain dormant for years. However, cleaning a blockage from a sewer line could damage a natural gas facility and cause gas to migrate into any structure connected to that sewer system. This can include structures without natural gas service and create the possibility of natural gas accumulation and ignition.
For your safety, report sewer pipe blockages to professionals. Never attempt to clear any sewer line blockage with mechanical cutting tools.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance as we take steps to support PUGET SOUND ENERGY and their efforts to improve safety throughout the network.
